San Mateo, Calif. (April 8, 2003) - Patricia A. Ripepi, indirect sales vice president for business software company NetLedger and a well-known figure in accounting software for many years, died unexpectedly April 4.Ripepi, 51, joined NetLedger last June from rival business software vendor Accpac International. She had also held executive positions with technology companies Visioneer, Umax Computer, Digital Equipment Corp., Radius, SuperMac, and the telecommunications company formerly known as Nynex.At NetLedger, Ripepi worked on sales programs that included the company's dealings with accounting professionals. Netleger adopted several new accounting industry programs in the past year and Ripepi was a speaker at last October's meeting of the Information Technology Alliance, which includes some of the most prominent technology practices affiliated with accounting firms."Pat had an enormous impact on our people, our culture and our business," said NetLedger chief executive Zach Nelson. "She will be sorely missed by all of us at NetLedger, and by the many professionals she touched and influenced in the technology industry."Born in Philadelphia, Ripepi and was a longtime resident of Alamo, Calif. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Tony Ripepi; daughters, Elizabeth M. and Christina L.; her father, Edward Popow; and her brother, Edward Popow, Jr.Her family requests that donations in Pat’s name be made to the American Cancer Society.-- John Covaleski
