San Mateo-based cloud computing vendor NetSuite and sales automation service provider InsideView have announced what they are describing as the first social intelligence application for both customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning software.

InsideView for NetSuite aggregates and gives users access to data from social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Jigsaw and NetProspex, as well as editorial sources.
The software can be used to help monitor the financial health of customers and assess payment risk, with the aim of improving accounts receivable. Users can receive alerts to help them discover new customer engagement opportunities.

“The social intelligence delivered by InsideView provides the tools for companies to significantly increase sales productivity, and improve billing, procurement and recruiting efforts for our customers,” said Guido Haarmans, vice president of the SuiteCloud Developer Network at NetSuite.
