Netsuite Updates UI, Unveils Next-Gen B2B Customer Center

Netsuite announced a new user interface and a next-generation B2B Customer Center built on the company’s SuiteCommerce platform, among other news during CEO Zach Nelson’s opening keynote Tuesday at SuiteWorld 2014.

The new B2B Customer Center enables B2B merchants to deliver a B2C-like online shopping experience that Nelson described as “far more Amazon-like” in its new functionality.

These new features include: a next-generation, self-service customer portal; new customization for billing, payments and account and product management; a flexible platform supporting role-based permissions so customers can extend the solution to business-specific use cases; and responsive web design capabilities optimizing the site for multiple devices.

“Omnichannel commerce is the future of CRM,” Nelson said, explaining that as service companies become product companies and vice versa, omnichannel issues are no longer unique to the retail sector.

“You all have a omnichannel problem, whether B2B or B2C,” he told attendees.

The company’s UI reinvention, promising a more intuitive and visually engaging work experience, comes after three years of usability research with customers and will be rolled out with Netsuite’s 2014.2 release, scheduled for Q3 2014.
