New Jersey's LSW Merges with Weiser

Lipman, Selznick & Witkowski PC and Weiser LLP have merged, effective immediately. Terms were not disclosed.

Going forward, the firm will do business as Weiser LLP.

Founded in 1927, LSW provides accounting, audit, tax and consulting services in New Jersey and New York. The firm works with client base of closely held and family-owned businesses, particularly in the professional services, manufacturing, distribution and health care industries.

"Our merger with a firm of LSW's stature underscores Weiser's values and philosophy," said Weiser managing partner Doug Phillips, in a statement. "It also reflects Weiser's commitment and dedication to the New Jersey market and our clients."

LSW managing partner John Witkowski said the merger would allow the firm to offer clients a broader range of services. In addition to Witkowski, joining Weiser as partners are Herbert Lipman, William Nagle, Thomas Spychalski, James Sausmer, Robert Fodera and Joseph D'Avella.

Weiser provides accounting and consulting services to business enterprises and high net-worth individuals and has offices in New York, Long Island, Westchester, N.Y. and Edison, N.J.Weiser's staff of approximately 400 work with clients in a number of industry niches, including real estate, automobile, media, apparel, manufacturing, distribution, financial services, health care, entertainment, not-for-profit and textile rental industries. Weiser was ranked No. 27 on Accounting Today's 2005 list of Top 100 Firms, with $69 million in annual revenues
