New Timeslips Tracks Clients Who Weren’t Billed

Sage North America has introduced the latest version of its time and billing software, Timeslips by Sage 2010, with new features such as a report on clients who haven’t been billed as of a certain date.

The new Clients Not Billed report aims to keep accountants and other professionals from losing revenue because their bills have not been sent. Other new features let users hand-select the data that should be purged from the database, to keep records cleaner and stay on top of current customers. Users can now create new numeric custom fields, such as percent, money, number or hours, and assign them to custom values and associate them with specific names, to improve their custom report calculations.

The latest version is able to export reports to Microsoft Excel with a new “Print to Excel as displayed” function that will resemble the printed report to help when comparing reports. Users can also now create customizable e-mail templates that allow them to generate their own messages in the body and text of an e-mail message, so clients can identify the bills more readily when they arrive.

Users of Timeslips 2010 can now customize the bills they produce with various additional fields, such as last bill date, last payment amount and last payment ID. Reviewing time and expense entries, also known as “slips,” is aided by new free-form text notes that help search for conflicts of interest, and are also included on user-defined reports. The reporting has also been simplified with a new Default Billing Report that shows specific rates for each client.
