New York CPAs Schedule Speakers for Show

The New York State Society of CPAs plans to hold its 29th Annual New York CPA Business & Technology Show & Conference on May 14 and 15 at the New York Hilton Hotel, featuring Tracy Byrnes of Fox Business News and IRS Special Agent Mike Minto as speakers.

Hosted by the NYSSCPA and its Foundation for Accounting Education, the show is the largest annual meeting of CPAs and accounting and business executives in New York State. The exhibit floor will include companies in the information technology, computer services, banking, publishing and insurance fields.

Attendees can earn continuing professional educational credits with 16 sessions covering technology, tax, auditing and ethics topics.  These 100-minute sessions offer two CPE credits each on topics such as the SET Tax, a single rate tax simplification proposal; Is Technology Sinking Your Practice?; The CPA's Role in Charitable Planning; Using Recognition to Drive Employee Retention and Productivity; and an Accounting Software Shootout Panel.
