NJCPA launches intern job site

The New Jersey Society of CPAs has launched a job site to connect local accounting firms, businesses and organizations with college students seeking internships.

Dubbed NJCPA Launchpad, the service is free for college and graduate students, with a fee required for employers to post internships and collect resumes. Participating students must be NJCPA members to post their resumes and search for internships, but can join for free. (As a special promotion, the first 50 students to list their resumes will receive a $15 Starbucks gift card.)

Employers must pay to access Launchpad: 60 days of access will cost $249, 90 days will cost $349, and 120 days will cost $429. Employers will also receive a 20-percent discount off their internship postings through Dec. 8, 2019, by using the code "Special20."

“We have heard many times that employers struggle with finding qualified young professionals to hire," stated NJCPA CEO and executive director Ralph Albert Thomas. "Matching students’ talents up with an organization in need of hiring interns is a plus for both employers and students. Accounting internships often lead to full-time employment, so it’s always helpful to begin discussions.”

Launchpad.njcpa.org will launch on Dec. 9, 2019, for internship listings; however, participants may begin posting their jobs and resumes now.
