Nusbaum, Viceira Join FAF Board

Grant Thornton CEO Edward Nusbaum and Harvard professor Luis Viceira have joined the Financial Accounting Foundation’s board of trustees.

The FAF oversees the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. Nusbaum is currently chief executive of Grant Thornton’s U.S. member firm, Grant Thornton LLP, but he will take over as CEO of Grant Thornton International on Jan. 1. He is also on the board of governors of the Center for Audit Quality and previously served on FASB’s main advisory group, the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council, and its Small Business Advisory Committee.

Luis Viceira is the George E. Bates Professor at the Harvard Business School. He teaches investment management and capital markets in the MBA and doctoral programs. He is also a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
