Michael Zovistoski, a partner at UHY LLP, and managing director of UHY Advisors NY, Inc. in Albany, N.Y., has been chosen as president-elect by the New York State Society of CPAs.
Zovistoski will serve a one-year term, which began June 1, in this role before he automatically is installed as president of the NYSSCPA board of directors in 2016. He will succeed Joseph M. Falbo Jr., who began his term as NYSSCPA president last month (see
Prior to his election as president-elect, Zovistoski served as the NYSSCPA’s secretary/treasurer and on the board’s Executive Committee. Zovistoski is also a member of the NYSSCPA Political Action Committee Board of Trustees.
Zovistoski received his BBA from Siena College in 1984 and joined the NYSSCPA in 1987. Zovistoski is a Northeast Chapter member, where has held numerous leadership roles, including president and secretary.
