Oxley elevates Two at FSC

Washington (Dec. 6, 2002) -- Sarbanes-Oxley Act co-author Michael G. Oxley, current chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, has named Carter McDowell as chief counsel of the banking and securities oversight body and elevated Peggy Peterson to deputy staff and communications director.

Last week, Oxley, R-Ohio, named current deputy staff director Bob Foster to become staff director of the FSC effective Jan. 1, 2003.

The promotions are the latest rounds in the committee's management reorganization prior to January’s reconvening of the 108th Congress.

Also recently promoted was Greg Zerzan, who assumed the post of senior counsel for legislation.
