Palo Alto Launches New LivePlan Forecasting Tools

Palo Alto Software, provider of small business planning and financial management software, introduced a new, enhanced business forecasting suite of tools as part of the company’s refresh of its cloud-based LivePlan application.

The new forecasting features provide graphic views of key business performance indicators through small business dashboards so users can predict and track business performance.

Specifically, the features include more detailed and variable cash-flow forecasting, with an interactive model that visualizes what happens to cash spending based on certain variables, and more capabilities for personnel forecasting that include giving business owners the ability to forecast by head count, or forecast contract workers or employees included in direct costs as direct labor.

LivePlan also has an enhanced interface that enables users to interact with familiar functionality and more easily find and use the application’s more advanced features. The solution also added options for customized charts.

“What keeps entrepreneurs up at night? It’s struggling to understand their overall financial situation and how to grow their business, because they don’t have a plan,” stated Sabrina Parsons, CEO of Palo Alto Software. “For those entrepreneurs, the archaic, 40-page planning document no longer makes sense - they need a more flexible, intuitive way to gain vital insight into their business on a constant basis. This is why we’ve re-imagined our LivePlan tools, to make it easier for the business owner to understand their business’ health and plan for its future.”

The latest version features a new plan outline so users can identify key problems and advantages, automatically producing a summary for prospective partners, lenders and investors.
