Patterson & Company CPAs, a tax and accounting services firm that specializes in the restaurant and professional services industries, has acquired the Louisville, Ky., practice of Billy D. Morgan, CPA.
The deal is expected to expand Patterson’s client base into several additional Southeastern states beyond its home base of Kentucky. The transaction, which took effect November 1, was brokered by Ben Jackson, CPA, of Jackson+Metts Business Brokers.
“This was not only an opportunity to acquire a new base of similar clients to ours in new areas of the country, but to also help firm owner Billy Morgan transition over several years out of his practice and ensure that his clients continue to receive the highest level of service and support after his departure,” said Patterson & Company president Bob Patterson in a statement.
Morgan plans to remain with the combined firm to provide continuity for his clients. He and his entire staff will transition to the new firm.
