Rochester, N.Y. (Dec. 17, 2003) -- Payroll and human resource services provider Paychex Inc. has expanded into four new markets.
The expansion marks the first time in five years that the firm has opened a new office. The four new offices are in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Greenville, S.C.; Lexington, Ky.; and Wilmington, N. C.
Paychex processes payroll for more than 490,000 businesses through over 100 local offices across the U.S.
In October, the company acquired the Time in a Box product line from Lake Mary, Fla.-based Stromberg. Time in a Box is a Windows-based time and attendance solution for small and midsized businesses. In September, the company acquired Advantage Payroll Services Inc., a move that brought it more than 49,000 new clients.
