PDF conversion

PDFs have more than demonstrated their usefulness, becoming one of the foremost ways of making sure that diverse users can view and read the same set of electronic information. Viewing and reading information, however, isn't the same thing as using it, and it's often difficult to extract just the data you need from a PDF with any precision, or to make sure that you'll be able to use it once you've extracted it.

Investintech's Able2Extract 2.20 aims to change that, allowing users to pinpoint and convert material in PDFs such as tabular data into formats that are more useful, like Excel. Users simply open the PDF, select just the information they want, and click a single button for conversion - they don't even have to have Adobe Acrobat, since Able2Extract comes with its own PDF viewing technology.

Investintech offers a free, three-day trial at its Web site.
