Pennsylvania Firm Does Another Merger

In its second merger of the year, Pittsburgh-based CPA firm Malin, Bergquist and Co. LLP has combined with a firm based in nearby Erie, Pa.: Diefenbach Delio Kearney & DeDionisio.

The latest merger adds six partners whose clients include more than 350 businesses and 1,000 individuals. They will operate together under the Malin Bergquist name. Back in February, Malin Bergquist merged with Deluzio, Teems & Anzovino, based in Jeannette, Pa. That merger added three partners to the firm. Since the beginning of the year, the firm has doubled in size and now boasts 100 employees.

Malin Bergquist specializes in providing auditing and consulting services to foreign-owned businesses operating in Western Pennsylvania. Other types of clients include auto dealerships, financial institutions, tax-exempt organizations and family owned businesses.

In other news at the firm, David Bluemling was elected firmwide CEO and Jeffrey Beach became firmwide COO/CFO.

The firm is part of the CPAmerica network of CPA firms.
