CCH Inc., Riverwoods, announced that James de GaspŽ Bonar has been named publisher of its Federal and State Tax group. Bonar succeeds Kevin Robert, who recently was named president and CEO of CCH Tax Compliance. Most recently, Bonar was president and CEO of CCH Canadian, CCH Inc.’s sister-company based in Toronto. As publisher of the FAST group, Bonar will be responsible for U.S. Publishing’s largest business unit. The CCH FAST unit produces 150 Internet, CD-ROM and print products for tax, accounting, legal and financial planning professionals and corporations. Bonar has 15 years of publishing experience and joined CCH Canadian five years ago. Before joining CCH Canadian, he was vice president and publisher of Sogides ItŽe, the leading French-language trade book company in Canada. NEW JERSEY

OHIO

SS&G Financial Services, Cleveland/Akron, announced that Joanna Eggett, Jeffrey Muencz and Christopher Szuch have been promoted to associate directors. Eggett has been with the firm for over three years and is mainly responsible for the preparation and review of compilations, reviews, audits, valuations, employee benefit plan administration and management advisory services for closely held businesses. She has also been key in the development of SS&G’s Outsourcing group, a specialty division that allows clients which have turnover in their accounting department, do not have resources available internally or when their accounting function is difficult to manage or out of control to utilize outside resources by providing cost effective, short- and long-term outsourced accounting and financial services. Some of Eggett’s accounting functions within the Outsourcing group include accounting software conversions, account reconciliations, audit and tax scheduling, financial analyses, general ledger accounting and streamlining of accounting systems. Muencz joined the firm in July 2000. He is responsible for the preparation and review of financial statement compilations, reviews and audits, as well as management advisory services for a variety of businesses with a primary focus on post-acute care facilities (nursing homes and continuing care retirement communities) and not-for-profits. As a certified public accountant and licensed nursing home administrator, Muencz has been a primary key figure in building SS&G’s post-acute care specialty.
