Hugh Shields has been appointed to executive technical director at the International Accounting Standards Board. Shields, who is a managing director at Credit Suisse in Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions, will step into his new role in March. Joanna Perry has been appointed chairman of the IFRS Advisory Council. Perry previously was the chairman of the New Zealand Financial Reporting Standards Board, where she served for eight years.
