Steven Barnstable has joined Maner Costerisan as an account executive. Barnstable was the founder of the consulting firm Synergistic System which specializes in Microsoft Dynamics SL and Intacct. Akshay Kapoor has been promoted to principal at Lewis & Knopf in Flint, Michigan. Kapoor joined the firm in 2004 and provides audit, accounting, and tax preparation services to the firm’s clients. Kapoor works with a diverse client base including closely held corporations, not for profits, and local government. He specializes in serving auto dealerships, school districts, and the health care industry.
Christopher Linneman has been promoted to manager at Abeles & Hoffman in Saint Louis.

Harlene Stevens was promoted to manager, Ray Sarinelli to supervisor and Stacey Ernst to senior accountant. Kimberly Dula has joined Friedman LLP as partner group in its Marlton, New Jersey office. Dula has over 22 years of experience and will be providing tax planning and compliance services to Friedman's high net worth individual clients and their closely-held businesses and private foundations. Dula also provides her clients with consulting and compliance services required to fulfill their estate, gift and fiduciary needs. Dula is the author of various external tax articles and has been a speaker for a variety of community and industry organizations. Dula earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from King's College, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. She is also a graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre.
Claudine Cohen has joined CohnReznick as principal in the firm’s transactional advisory practice. Cohen began her career in public accounting with PKF and was a founding partner of Nucleus Corporate Finance, a corporate and strategic advisory boutique in South Africa. Cohen received a Bachelor of Accountancy, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a Masters of Business, Finance and Marketing from Bond University, Australia. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Growth and the Woman’s Association of Venture and Equity. She is also qualified with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Justin Linscott, a tax manager at Holbrook & Manter in Columbus, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the certified financial planner and CFP certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements. Linscott began his career with Holbrook & Manter, as an intern with the firm in 2005 and joined as a full time accountant upon graduation in 2007.

George Canellos, co-director of the Securities and Exchange Commision’s Enforcement Division, will leave the agency later this month after four-and-a-half years of service in senior leadership positions. Canellos has played a key role in numerous structural and enforcement policy changes and oversaw significant investigations and enforcement actions related to the credit crisis and insider trading. He helped lead the agency’s nationwide enforcement efforts during two of its most productive years in 2012 and 2013 while serving as deputy director and co-director of the Enforcement Division. Canellos came to the SEC in July 2009 as director of the New York Regional Office
