The New York State Society of CPAs recently recognized the two individuals who have earned the two highest scores in New York State on the Uniform CPA Examination, considered to be one of the most difficult of professional licensing tests in the country. Lauren Silberman, an assurance associate at PwC, was recognized as the winner of the Charles Waldo Haskins Gold Award as the state’s top scorer; tallying 390 out of a possible 400. Daniel Eric Rubin, a real estate tax associate at PwC, is the winner of the Charles Waldo Haskins Silver Award, tallying 389 out of a possible 400. … Jodi Bloom-Piccione, Gigi Boudreaux, Jeff Holt and Brian Thaw have been promoted to partners at Raich Ende Malter & Co. LLP, New York. … Greg Westfall has been named assistant managing principal at Grant Thornton LLP’s Metro New York Cluster where he will work with the Industries and Markets. He succeeds Nichole Jordan, who was recently named national managing partner of markets, clients and industries for the firm.
