Chicago-based Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams Ltd’s co-founder Allen M. Abrams passed away on Oct. 27, 2013 after a brief illness. He was 81. Abramswas born in Paw Paw, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan, earning both a B.S., magna cum laude, in Accounting, and an M.B.A., summa cum laude. The Illinois CPA Society has honored four of its members with their 9th annual prestigious Women to Watch awards. Dawn Eber, managing director of PwC’s risk assurance practice, and Charlotte Montgomery, a CPA and Director of Resource Allocation at the Illinois State Museum, won the experienced leader award.
