FLORIDA

Johnson Lambert partners elected John Prescott as the firm’s next Managing Partner. Prescott will serve as Co-Managing Partner with beginning Jan. 1, 2015 and will begin a five-year term as Managing Partner on Jan. 1, 2016. Prescott will replace Deborah Lambert, a founding partner, who has served as the firm’s managing partner since 2006. Lambert will continue to serve as co-managing partner through 2015. Lambert will remain with the firm after stepping down as managing partner, returning primarily to a client service role, working with clients served by Johnson Lambert’s Chicago, Illinois and Raleigh, North Carolina offices.

GEORGIA

Moore, Colson has added nine new employees throughout the firm’s tax, business assurance and IT audit consulting practices. Joe Wright joins the firm as a tax manager. He previously worked at Cherry Bekaert LLP as a tax manager. Johnny Williams joined the firm as a business assurance manager. He previously worked at Grant Thornton as an audit senior associate. Cristina Simpson joined as a senior associate in the firm’s business assurance practice. She previously worked at CohnReznick. Logan Ealy joins the firm as a business assurance associate. He came from The American Home Real Estate Company where he was an acquisitions analyst and accounts payable specialist. Adam Joseph joined the firm as a business assurance associate. Prior to Moore, Colson he was an intern for the United Parcel Service in Atlanta. Genevieve Rochler joined the firm as a business assurance associate. She previously was a member solution representative at the Credit Union of Georgia. Boram Lee joined Moore, Colson as an IT audit senior associate in the firm’s IT audit consulting practice. She previously worked at the Georgia Department of audits and accounts as a senior IT auditor II where she was the manager and auditor-in-charge for a variety of University System of Georgia Institutions. Samiul Arif joined the firm as an IT audit associate. He previously worked as an internal audit associate with the Georgia Department of Human Services. Mary Washington joined Moore Colson as an administrative assistant in the firm’s business assurance practice. She previously worked at Crace Galvis McGrath LLC, formerly Moore & Cubbedge LLP as an executive administrative assistant.

ILLINOIS

The Illinois CPA Society's Women's Executive Committee and the American Institute of CPAs Women's Initiatives Executive Committee are pleased to honor the following three women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession, their organizations, and to the development of women as leaders: Angela Hickey, CPA Executive Director, Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC, Kristie Paskvan, CPA Chief Financial Officer, Mesirow Financial, and President, Retirement Plan Advisory, Mesirow Financial Investment Management, and Annie Kolman, CPA Senior Manager, Assurance, Ernst & Young LLP.

INDIANA

Tanika Jackson has joined Sponsel CPA Group as a staff accountant in the entrepreneurial services department. An experienced accountant who previously worked in the organized labor field, Jackson will provide bookkeeping and accounting services to clients across a wide spectrum of industries. Jackson holds associate and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Knoxville Business College and Tennessee Wesleyan College, respectively.

KANSAS

The CPA Consultants’ Alliance added Gary Adamson, CEO of Adamson Advisory, and Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk, President of bbr marketing, as new members.

MARYLAND

David Reznick, one of the founding partners of CohnReznick predecessor firm, Reznick Group was inducted into the Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame.

MASSACHUSETTS

Greg Chin, has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a managing director in the firm’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, based in Boston.

NEW YORK

Charles Allen, chief executive officer of Crowe Horwath LLP, and Mr. Yang Jiantao, principal partner of Ruihua Certified Public Accountants, will be co-chairmen of Crowe Horwath International starting Jan. 1, 2015. They will succeed Andrew Pianca of Crowe Clark Whitehill, who is completing a two-year term.

OHIO

Steven Gerard has announced his intention to retire as CEO of CBIZ Inc., in March 2016, following the filing of the Company's Form 10-K for the year ending December 31, 2015. Following his retirement, Gerard will continue to serve as non-executive chairman of the Company's Board of Directors. In connection with Gerard's planned retirement and in accordance with the company's succession plan, the company's Board of Directors has indicated its intention to appoint Jerome P. Grisko, Jr., currently President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, to the post of Chief Executive Officer as Gerard's successor. The Board anticipates that Mr. Grisko will retain his current role as President of the Company.

TEXAS

Steven Elliott has joined GBH CPAs PC as a tax manager serving publicly-traded and privately-held clients. Elliot received his masters in taxation from Bentley University and did his undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston. He also holds certificates in Advanced Taxation Issues and Personal Financial Planning from Bentley. Steve holds CPA licenses in Texas, New York and Massachusetts and is a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of CPAs.
