Mark Kronforst has been named chief accountant of The Securities and Exchange Commission division of Corporation Finance. Kronforst has been one of the division’s associate directors for disclosure operations since October 2010. He previously worked in several positions within the division including as the division’s deputy chief accountant. Before joining the SEC, Kronforst was the director of financial reporting for Solectron Corporation and an audit senior manager at the accounting firm of KPMG LLP. Daniel Murdock was tapped as a deputy chief accountant in the agency's office of the chief accountant. Murdock fills a vacancy created when Paul Beswick was promoted to chief accountant. The other two deputy chief accountants, Brian Croteau and Julie Erhardt, head the professional practice group and the international group respectively.
Before joining the SEC staff, Murdock worked as an industry professional practice director for Deloitte & Touche LLP.
