Gordon, of Lindquist LLP, San Ramon, has been accepted into the fall 2015 FBI Citizens Academy, a six-week program that gives business, religious, civic, media and community leaders an inside look at the FBI. … Tami Sipos, a partner at Gallina LLP, Roseville, has been named a “Champion” by the Community Foundation serving the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino in California, which she has been involved with for over 25 years. She joined the board at the beginning of this year.

CONNECTICUT

Irene McDonnell has joined the Stamford office of TaxOps as a tax manager. … Paul A. Beswick, a partner with Ernst & Young LLP and former chief accountant for the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Robert B. Malhotra, a partner at KPMG LLP, have been named to the Emerging Issues Task Force of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Norwalk.

FLORIDA

Top 100 Firm MBAF, Miami, announced a number of promotions in the Audit, and Tax & Accounting Departments: Lisette Rodriguez, Craig Corak and James Wachman have been promoted to senior manager; and Natalie Bello, Diana Cuesta, Javier Orozco and Juan Peña have been promoted to manager.
