ALABAMA

Warren Averett Staffing & Recruiting, an affiliate of Warren Averett LLC, has promoted Cindi McMillian to operations manager of Warren Averett Staffing & Recruiting. McMillian’s responsibilities include payroll, employee onboarding, invoicing, worker’s compensation, vendor relations, background and drug screening, contracts, employee benefits, revenue tracking and I-9 compliance. She previously held the role of Client Services Representative within Warren Averett Staffing & Recruiting.

ARIZONA

Jose Escalante was promoted to senior accountant in REDW LLC’s Audit & Consulting Department in Phoenix. Escalante has more than four years of experience in public accounting working for a variety of clients, including tribal governments and entities, casinos, nonprofits, and healthcare organizations. He is a member of the AICPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. Myrond Muskett was also promoted to senior accountant within the same department. Muskett has worked in the financial services industry since 2009. He has experience auditing tribal governments, tribal enterprises and casinos, and performing A-133 single audits for tribes. He is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. Muskett holds a Master’s of Accountancy, and two B.S. degrees in Accountancy and Finance from Arizona State University.

Angela Saverice-Rohan has joined PwC’s Data Protection and Privacy practice as managing director in its Los Angeles office. Brad Chin joined as the practice as managing director in the firm’s San Jose office. … Bala Rajaraman has joined PwC US as a partner in the International Tax Services practice, based primarily in Los Angeles. … The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board has elected Kevin Parker to SASB's Board of Directors.

FLORIDA

Brad Hale has joined CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann as a managing director. He joins the Tampa Bay office and will have significant national responsibilities as a member of the Professional Standards Group. He will lead the SEC Consulting practice and additional areas of technical consulting for MHM in the Southeast.

GEORGIA

Tom Leahey has taken on the role of principal at Windham Brannon’s new Strategic Growth Advisory practice. Leahey comes on board as part of Windham Brannon’s acquisition of the consulting and advisory firm, Latitude Growth Partners. The boutique firm has built a solid client base of high-growth corporations, which will now have unfettered access to the depth and breadth of resources Windham Brannon offers. ... The Georgia State Board of Accountancy has named Paul Ziga executive director. Ziga will lead the GSBA in their efforts to license and regulate certified public accountants and public accounting firms in Georgia. … Rich Koenenn has joined PwC US as a Tax partner in the Great Atlanta market, which includes Nashville and Birmingham. Prior to joining PwC, Koenenn spent 11 years at Deloitte as the lead tax partner in the Raleigh, NC office. Throughout his career, Rich has served clients in a variety of industries including technology, life sciences and aerospace & defense. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Mississippi.

ILLINOIS

Patricia Ruiz and Seamus Donoghue have joined Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams Ltd. Ruiz has more than 11 years of public accounting experience. She has provided tax compliance, tax research and attestation services, including reviews and compilations, as well as accounting and bookkeeping services for individuals and privately-held companies. She also has broad experience in audit services. Ruiz a received her B.S. in Accounting at DePaul University. Donoghue has more than six years of public accounting experience. He has worked extensively on partnership, S-corporation and individual tax accounting. His experience also includes client payroll and bookkeeping, as well as tax law and regulation research. Donoghue received his B.S. in Accounting at Boston College and his M.S. in Taxation at Bentley University. … Grant Thornton LLP admitted 32 new partners and principals to the firm effective Aug. 1. These partners and principals are based throughout the firm’s offices across the country. In addition, the firm has promoted 21 professionals to managing director. NEW MEXICO

Elena Chavez was promoted to benefits coordinator in the Benefits & HR Consulting Department of REDW LLC’s Albuquerque office. Chavez has more than five years of experience in the benefits field. She also had prior experience in banking and in the legal field, having worked with one of Albuquerque’s top employee benefits lawyers. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of New Mexico. Chavez earned the Retirement Plan Associate certification from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is currently working on her Retirement Plan Fundamental I & II certifications. Jesse Jiron was promoted to senior accountant in the Audit & Consulting Department. Jiron provides financial, single audit internal audit services for a variety of state and tribal governments, healthcare organizations and casinos. He earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. Paul Madrid was promoted to senior investment manager for REDW Stanley Financial Advisors, LLC. Madrid’s experience ranges from working with individual clients to large institutions with assets over $18 billion. His responsibilities include research, investment analysis, portfolio management, client service and conducting seminars. He leads the research team and works closely with the Chief Investment Officer on the investment process. He is a voting member of the REDW Stanley Investment Committee. Madrid is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, a Certified Financial Planner, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New Mexico. Madrid has been an Accredited Investment Fiduciary since 2009. Madrid graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Daniel Yu was also promoted to senior investment advisor for REDW Stanley Financial Advisors, LLC. Yu has 18 years of investment experience. He served as a research director for more than 10 years at a national investment firm where his duties included investment management, client services and portfolio construction. Yu also has experience as a credit analyst specializing in fixed income securities analysis. He is a voting member of the REDW Stanley Investment Committee where he responsible for researching and presenting findings to the Committee on securities, capital markets, and other key investment areas. Yu has held a Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2001.

Jay Cline has joined PwC’s Data Protection and Privacy practice as principal. Jim Williams joined as a director. … Jared Forman has joined Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP as principal in the firm’s Risk Advisory Practice. Based in the firm’s New York, NY office, Forman will join Dixon Hughes Goodman’s growing Risk Advisory Services practice. Forman has significant experience as a risk practitioner consulting with large global financial institutions, including banks and insurance companies.

VIRGINIA

Grant Thornton LLP named Jamie Fowler office managing partner of its Mid-Atlantic practice. She will oversee the growth and operations of the Baltimore and McLean, Va., offices. Most recently, Fowler served as the Northeast region partner-in-charge of Tax and as national managing partner of National Tax Strategic Solutions, which supports the firm’s Tax Services professionals through formulation and execution of strategy, including change management and leadership. She succeeds Rich LaFleur, who was named partner-in-charge of Industries and Markets for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic practice.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Frank Cindrich has joined PwC’s Data Protection and Privacy practice as director in its Washington, DC office. … Scott Mackay has joined EY as a partner in the National Tax Department in Washington, DC, focused on capitalization and revenue recognition. Previously, he was a Taxation Specialist with the Department of Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy, where he was the lead Treasury reviewer on the final tangible property regulations and industry-specific capitalization safe harbors and other depreciation and accounting methods guidance.
