KPMG LLP announced three promotions in its New York financial services practice: Fred R. Donner, a 20-year veteran and a partner for the last eight years, has been named to the newly created position of insurance industry group leader; Robert P. Garrett, a 16-year veteran at the firm and a partner for the last six years, has been appointed to the new position of investment management services industry group leader; and Anthony T. Anzevino, a 16-year veteran and a partner for the last five years, has been named to the new position of banking and investment banking industry group leader. ...James H. Wall, national managing director of human resources with Deloitte & Touche, New York, received the 2002 Human Resources Executive of the Year award from Human Resources Executive magazine. Glenn Newman, principal in charge of the forensic and litigation group at Parente Randolph PC, Wilkes-Barre, has been appointed to serve as a member of the 2002-2003 Litigation & Dispute Resolution Services Subcommittee of the AICPA. Newman brings 20 years of experience to the subcommittee, which reviews and recommends policies and standards to assist CPAs who perform litigation and related consulting services. ...Kreischer, Miller & Co., Horsham, announced the hiring of C. Alliot Group North America, a division of Alliot Group based in Louisville, announced that Miller Grossbard & Associates PC, Houston, has been approved for membership. CRIC Captial LLC, Boston, has entered into a $6 million net lease with Bayer Corp., a subsidiary of Germany-based Bayer AG.


Brown Smith Wallace LLC, St. Louis, merged with Megargel Willbrand & Co., St. Charles. The firm’s name will be Brown Smith Wallace LLC. Jeffrey Smith is the managing member. The merger will give the new BSW more than 100 employees in offices in Creve Coeur, St. Charles, West County and South County.
