Pinion launches global network

Pinion has launched an international consulting network called Pinion Global Network.

The network, announced last Friday, will provide food and agricultural firms around the world with shared information, expertise and resources. Pinion also revealed its first three member firms: Pinion in the U.S., Pinion Advisory in Australia, and ACS 360 in South Africa. The network plans for geographic expansion into regions like Canada, Europe and South America.

"The world gets smaller daily, and food and agriculture companies are pressured to explore new ways of doing business," Jeff Wald, CEO of Pinion Global Network, said in a statement.

"From input measurements to financial issues to sustainability requirements, client needs will only become more complex," Wald added. "By connecting with other like-minded organizations, we will build critical depth into international expertise, benchmarking, resources and credibility that will allow us to truly provide world-class services and innovations."

Pinion isn't alone in its move to build a global network. Top 10 Firm CliftonLarsonAllen recently expanded its international network, which it launched in June 2022 with U.K.-based wealth management group Evelyn Partners. Meanwhile, Forvis and Mazars are merging to create a two-member global network called Forvis Mazars to be finalized in June.

Where Pinion stands out from the pack is its focus on a single industry: The Colorado-based CPA firm is homing in on food and agriculture exclusively – an uncommon practice for these kinds of networks. But that isn't to say the strategy is surprising; the sector represented over two-thirds of the firm's clientele in 2022.

"The network provides our consultants with diverse information sharing, expert insights, and resources from all over the world," Llewellyn Collett, director of Pinion South Africa, said in a statement. "Ultimately, our agricultural clients are gaining innovative international perspectives and proven solutions."

Pinion, formerly known as KCoe Isom, is a Top 100 Firm with $121 million in revenue as of January 2023 and more than 650 employees.
