PKF O’Connor Davies merges in GKG CPAs

Top 100 Firm PKF O’Connor Davies has acquired Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.-based accounting firm GKG CPAs. The transaction expands the New York City firm’s expertise in key areas, including transportation, food manufacturing and processing, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profits.

Financial terms were not disclosed. PKF O’Connor Davies ranked No. 28 on Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms list, with $150 million in revenue in 2017. Six GKG partners and about 40 employees will join PKF O’Connor Davies, with some moving to the firm’s Woodcliff, N.J. office and others remaining in GKG’s office in Newburgh, N.Y. GKG also operated a third office in White Plains, N.Y.

Established 25 years ago, GKG provided business consulting, tax and estate planning, auditing, reviews and compilations, and accounting and financial management services to middle and large-market businesses and individuals. PKF O’Connor Davies has nine offices in four states in the Northeast and Washington, D.C. regions.
