RSM MCGLADREY ENCOURAGES VIRTUAL CONVERSATION
Clients and prospects of RSM McGladrey have a couple of new ways to stay engaged with the firm - via blogs.
The RSM McGladrey Manufacturing and Wholesale Distribution National Survey Blog and the McGladrey Golf Blog are two examples of the firm's expanding online presence.
The firm established the MWD Blog to promote its annual survey, which compiles the perspectives of nearly 1,000 continuing conversations about critical issues and trends that are impacting the industry on an ongoing basis. The golf blog will engage golfers, philanthropists, clients, prospects and employees in conversations about the McGladrey Team Championship.
RSM McGladrey also has been posting tweets on Twitter.com and has established a presence on YouTube. In addition, you can find the firm on Facebook and LinkedIn.
AICPA COMMITTEE HONORED WITH DIVERSITY AWARD
The American Institute of CPAs' Minority Initiatives Committee has received the 2009 Diversity Section Excellence Award from the American Accounting Association. Candidates are evaluated based on the achievement and high level of success that may include public service in an area related to the individual's professional area and responsibilities, professional service, and service activities to the AAA and the Diversity Section.
The MIC won the award for its long-standing commitment to assisting underrepresented minorities in becoming CPAs through programs including student scholarships, leadership development programs, advertising campaigns and the support of efforts by strategic partners, including the National Association of Black Accountants and the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. The committee also encourages diverse representation through financial support of the AAA Diversity Section and the PhD Project, as well as its Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students.
