Top 100 Firm Prager Metis International has acquired the media and entertainment business of Ling Phipp, expanding its practice in southern England and South Wales.
Paul Turner, a partner at Ling Phipp, will be joining Prager Metis.
“Having previously worked with Paul for over 10 years and provided specialist tax advice to a number of his clients, we are really excited that he is working with us,” said Mark Boomla, managing partner of Prager Metis’ London office, in a statement. “We have been expanding our entertainment practice, and this deal provides a fantastic opportunity to continue that progression.”
“We are delighted for our media and entertainment business based in southern England and South Wales to be joining forces with Prager Metis,” Turner said, in a statement. "Prager Metis is a well-known and respected firm of chartered accountants and, although somewhat larger than us, they have a similar client base and ethos and have specialized and substantial technical resources.”
The deal was effective Aug. 31. Financial terms were not disclosed. Prager Metis ranked No. 53 on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $82.5 million in net revenue. It has offices in Los Angeles, New York and London.
