Protiviti-Bisk Partner in Sox Educational Series

Menlo Park, Calif. (July 24, 2003) -- Auditing and technology risk consulting firm Protiviti has teamed with CPE provider Bisk Education and Tulane University Law School to produce "Excellence in Corporate Governance," an online series of subscription-based education programs.

Beginning Sept. 1, 20003, the series will offer subscribers roughly 15 hours of analysis and strategies to meet the new corporate governance standards as mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley.

The program will examine the rules and regulations companies are required to adopt to protect their shareholders. Specific topics include: Issues facing boards of directors and audit committees; financial reporting; internal control reporting by management (Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley); management responsibilities; legal implications; and implementation and execution practices.

All CPAs participating in the courses can receive CPE credit.

Featured program speakers include comptroller general David Walker, J. Michael Cook, chairman and chief executive officer emeritus, Deloitte & Touche and Thomas E. Jones, vice chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board.
