PwC HR Leader Joins PCAOB

Washington (April 13, 2004) -- Sara Bridwell, the human resources geography leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' U.S. tax practice, has joined the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board as its director of human resources.

Bridwell, 40, has worked in the human resources department at PwC for 12 years. Her role at the Big Four firm was to ensure a consistent implementation of human resources strategy for tax professionals across 52 offices and six regions nationally. She was a lead member of a project team that worked across 18 U.S. offices to implement a new staffing and development model.

Prior to joining PwC, Bridwell was the meetings and communications coordinator for the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce and a public relations representative with Martin Marietta Electronics & Missiles Group in Orlando.

PCAOB Chairman William McDonough has said previously that most of the board's $103 million budget this year will be spent on staff. In remarks made in early March, McDonough said the board would nearly double its staff, which at the time stood at slightly more than 150 people.
