Reinsel Kuntz Starts Senior Living Consulting Group

Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP has added a Senior Living Services Consulting Group, brought over from ParenteBeard, to its services.

The new service group at the Pennsylvania-based accounting and consulting firm includes four professionals: partner Jeffrey Boland, principal Stephanie S. Kessler, manager Rossana Sandoe and senior consultant Tracy Montag. They have 72 combined years among them of hands-on financial, clinical and reimbursement experience in senior living operations. RKL’s SLSC Group will be led by Boland.

The SLSC team comes to RKL from the Senior Living Services Group at ParenteBeard. According to RKL spokesperson Ellie Hogentogler, they left on their own accord and were not acquired in a deal between the two firms. Boland, Kessler and Sandoe previously worked together at KPMG and a regional health care consulting firm. Prior to joining the group three years ago, Montag was a coordinator of clinical information systems at a not-for-profit organization.

The team will provide a variety of services to senior living businesses and other health care providers, including operational analysis of long-term care providers, process improvement, revenue cycle assistance, regulatory compliance, minimum data set completion and education, Medicare licensure certification, software implementation, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, pre-survey analysis, due diligence and cost report preparation.

“The Senior Living Services Consulting Group will enable us to expand our existing health care services industry practice and will offer senior living providers another option for services,” said RKL CEO Ed Monborne in a statement. “These talented individuals are well-known in the senior living field and have the industry experience necessary to understand clients’ challenges in today’s economic and reimbursement climate.”
