Reznick Group Enters Midwest Market

East coast-based Reznick Group PC has gained a foothold in the Midwest with the merger of Chicago-based Friduss, Lukee, Schiff & Co. into its fold.

The deal, which closed Jan. 21, added one office, $5.6 million in revenue and 50 employees, including nine principals, to the firm, for a combined six offices, $115 million in revenue and staff of roughly 900, including 72 principals.

The expansion is part of Reznick Group's strategic plan, announced last October, to become a top 10 firm, with 10 offices in 10 years.

"Having an office and professionals physically located in Chicago will allow us to better serve our Midwest client base and expand our reach in that area," said Reznick managing principal Kenneth E. Baggett.

A spokesperson for the firm said that it is currently evaluating geographic locations for additional offices.

FLS founders Bruce Schiff and Jarvis Friduss will manage the Chicago office and will serve as co-principals in charge.

Reznick Group serves clients in the real estate, nonprofit, government, health care, and emerging and commercial business industries. FLS serves clients in the real estate, manufacturing, construction, wholesaling, retailing, professional services and nonprofit industries. The firm also specializes in affordable housing and tax credit matters.
