Reznick Group, one of the top 25 accounting firms in the county, will expand its presence in the greater Washington, D.C. region this fall.
The company will open a new office in northern Virginia, about 15 miles west of Washington, before Nov. 1 and transfer between 20 and 25 employees, including one principal, to the new office. Another 10 new employees will be hired from the area.
Founded in 1977, the firm has headquarters in Bethesda, Md., and offices in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, N.C., Chicago and Sacramento, Calif. About 500 employees work out of the Maryland office and another 400 work around the country.
Reznick is specifically looking for about 7,500 square-feet of office space in the Tysons Corner, Va., area, with room to expand as the office grows and the firm increases its business in the corridor from Washington up through Baltimore.
The northern Virginia office will offer full Reznick Group service capabilities providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to a variety of industries including technology, real estate, manufacturing/distribution and professional services.
Reznick Group principal Alex Castelli will transfer from the firm's Bethesda office and serve as the principal-in-charge of the northern Virginia office. Castelli has been with Reznick Group for 12 years, the last eight as a principal providing audit and accounting services for privately held and publicly traded companies.
