RIA Rolls Out Checkpoint 5.0

New York (June 12, 2002) -- RIA has rolled out the latest version of its Internet tax and accounting research product Checkpoint.Checkpoint 5.0 includes enhanced navigational elements, sharper search capabilities, and more streamlined database selections, according to the company. The latest version remembers the resources a user previously searched and groups commonly used databases into categories. For example, in the Federal practice area, Internal Revenue Code, IRS Regulations and committee reports are grouped together in a single entry. In addition, a feature called Link Preview allows users to review related materials without losing their current location.

Checkpoint 5.0 also displays a list of documents searched and highlights the search terms within those documents. Link Viewer allows researchers to explore tangent searches and return to the former document without having to search again. Searches can also be conducted directly from Checkpoint’s Table of Contents.
