RSM McGladrey Financial Process Outsourcing, a unit of national CPA and business consulting firm RSM McGladrey, has acquired Madison, Wis.-based Franchise Services Options and Houston-based Restaurant Reporting Plus -- two of the nation's larger providers of back-office outsourcing services to restaurants.
Terms were not disclosed.
Franchise Services Options and Restaurant Reporting Plus provide services such as payroll, accounting, business intelligence and tax solutions for both fast-food and sit-down restaurants.
Their combined client list now gives RSM's Financial Process Outsourcing arm roughly 1,000 restaurant locations across the country.
Franchise Services Option's client list includes units of McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Panera Bread and Jamba Juice. Meanwhile, Restaurant Reporting Plus boasts a restaurant user clientele that includes Chili's and the Wolfgang Puck brand.
"We see unlimited growth potential in the restaurant industry, as more operators seek quality, low-cost alternatives to running their own accounting and payroll operations," said Mark Jones, president of RSM McGladrey Financial Process Outsourcing.
RSM McGladrey's outsourcing unit also boasts some 800 auto parts client locations and 700 independent grocery store sites.
