RSSM Names New Fiduciary Principal

Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP has hired Charles L. Friedman as the accounting and consulting firm’s new principal of fiduciary services.

Friedman has over 28 years of experience in trust, estate and individual planning.  He has advised owners of closely held businesses, family offices and high net worth individuals in developing strategies to achieve their business and personal objectives.

Prior to joining RSSM, Friedman was a director of taxation in the real estate division of FTI Corp, where he developed and implemented estate and financial planning strategies for the leaders in the real estate industry.  He also has experience at a large regional CPA firm, where he chaired their Trusts & Estates committee and lectured at continuing education classes. Friedman also spent parts of his career in the Trusts & Estates department at the law firms Weil, Gothsal & Manges and Blair & Potts.

Friedman has a B.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College, and a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar, the New York State Society of CPAs and the Estate Planning Council of New York City.
