RubinBrown merges in KnowledgePath Consulting

RubinBrown, a Top 50 Firm based in St. Louis, is expanding its technology consulting services by combining with KnowledgePath Consulting, based in Birmingham, Alabama, effective March 15.

KnowledgePath Consulting has been operating in the tech consulting industry for over 30 years, focusing on enterprise resource planning modernization and business transformation services, including business assessment, ERP evaluation, IT and data services, process improvement, project management and change management.

KnowledgePath will be part of RubinBrown's business advisory services group, which offers ERP advisory, business process improvement and reorganization, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, fraud and forensics, information technology and risk services. KnowledgePath founder and CEO David Warford will be joining as a partner in RubinBrown, and all KnowledgePath team members are joining RubinBrown and will operate out of the firm's Chicago office.

"KnowledgePath is delighted to be joining forces with RubinBrown," Warford said in a statement Tuesday. "We look forward to continuing to serve our clients in the ERP and business transformation space, and to remain as a trusted technology advisor for our clients."

"This combination reflects RubinBrown's commitment to growth in the business advisory and technology services spaces as well as our continued expansion in Chicago," said RubinBrown chairman John F. Herber Jr. in a statement. "With the fast-changing world of technology, having a trusted advisor for our clients' businesses is more important than ever."

"After getting to know David, it was clear that we share the same philosophies around serving our clients and how we develop our people," said Michael Shapow, a partner in the Chicago office of RubinBrown business advisory services, in a statement. "This combination will add more depth to our ERP and business process improvement offerings and will create even more growth opportunities for our team members."

This combination comes on the heels of two other recent acquisitions in business advisory services for RubinBrown. RubinBrown combined with Himes Consulting Group in July 2022, and Liberty Technology Advisors in August 2021. It also added JMW & Associates in Overland Park, Kansas, in May 2022 for its tax group.

"KnowledgePath Consulting and RubinBrown are a perfect match," said Koltin Consulting Group CEO Allan Koltin in a statement. "The two firms share common values and goals, offer complimentary services to similar clients, and are committed to delivering quality service. This marks the third such consulting acquisition in less than two years for RubinBrown. I have no doubt this will be a successful combination."
