RubinBrown to Merge in Bondi & Co.

Regional CPA and business advisory firm RubinBrown announced that it would combine with Denver based Bondi & Co., effective June 1.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Going forward, the consolidated firm will do business under the RubinBrown brand.

The union will create an entity with a staff of more than 400 and offices in St. Louis, Denver and Kansas City, Mo.

According to RubinBrown chairman James Castellano, the firm had been looking to bolster its presence in Denver since it initially entered that market in mid-2010.

Bondi's current offices, located in Englewood and Denver, will combine in mid-September with RubinBrown's, and RubinBrown partner Gregory P. Osborn will continue to serve as the managing partner of the Denver unit. Bondi was founded in 1976 and forged a reputation for its strong audit practice.

Meanwhile Bondi partners Evelyn D. Law, Julia Stone, and Cheryl L. Wallace, have all been named partners with RubinBrown. RubinBrown ranked No. 54 on Accounting Today's 2011 Top 100 Firms roster, with revenues of $54.3 million.
