Sage Builds Online Hub for Accountants

Software developer Sage has launched Sage Impact, a customizable online hub that brings together in one place many of the tools that accountants and bookkeepers need to manage their business.

Designed in collaboration with users, Sage Impact aims to give them a central place on an open platform to run their practice and connect with their clients, incorporating real-time data from a wide range of sources, including Sage’s products and those of its competitors.

Sage Impact is accessible on any device, and customizable so users can include news alerts, social network updates and other inputs to create their own personalized platform.

“It’s not practice management,” said Jennifer Warawa, global vice president of product marketing for accountants at Sage. “It’s the future of practice management.”

“Accountants and bookkeepers don’t need more tools - they need the right tools,” she explained. “They want a platform that adapts to their needs and delivers the right information when and where they need it. Sage Impact is a significant breakthrough - we know this because it’s been designed by the community itself. It will free them from the busy work of data entry and endless reporting. It’s time for accountants to become the accountant of their dreams.”

“Sage Impact makes your homepage truly feel like an accountant-centric dashboard,” said Jody Padar, CPA, MST, CEO and principal of New Vision CPA Group, and author of The Radical CPA. “This solution is driven by what accountants use daily and want to see.”

Sage Impact is free for accountants and bookkeepers in public practice, and is immediately available in the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland. The company plans to make it available in other parts of the world soon.
