Sage Enhances Web-based Payment Processing Hub

Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division for Sage North America, has made several enhancements to its Web-based, Payment Card Industry compliant payment processing hub, including a recurring billing service, a donation service for nonprofit and charitable organizations, and integration with most accounting software.

Known as the Sage Virtual Terminal, the product allows for credit and debit card and check processing, and includes USB-connected card swipe capabilities, offering businesses lower fees for credit card transactions.

With new exporting features, including Excel and XPS formats, a merchant has the ability to export their data from Sage Virtual Terminal and import it directly into an accounting software’s GL, thus reducing the need to manually enter transaction data directly into an accounting software package.

“Our new Sage Virtual Terminal is not just a payment device, it’s a true business management solution,” said Sage Payment Solutions president Greg Hammermaster. “Our SMB customers said they need a central hub to manage their payments environment, so we started with what’s most important—processing payments in an intuitive and streamlined manner—and worked outward, integrating key business management services to be right at our customers’ fingertips.”

Sage Virtual Terminal is Level 3 Processing capable, which is a requirement for government and business-to-business companies that process corporate and purchasing cards.  Other features now built into Sage Virtual Terminal include customizable receipts using pre-defined templates; a detailed overview of transaction history and payment type; new export options for reports; and new import options for shopping cart products.
