Sage unveiled the latest version of its midrange enterprise resource planning and accounting software, Sage ERP X3 v6, and said it was taking a new international approach to developing the software.
Sage has created an international team to support the development of the Sage ERP X3 business. They will work closely with Sages local operations to ensure the software complements other local mid-market products. Sage will also provide international pre-sales and professional services, training, research and development, marketing and communications. Sage ERP X3 is sold and supported both directly via Sage and via the company's network of local business partners.
Speaking at the product launch in Paris, Sage Group plc chief executive Paul Walker said, The creation of this global organization to support our Sage ERP X3 customers is another evolution in Sages long history of delivering what our customers need. This is where our local knowledge sets us apart and combined with our global strength is a key differentiator."
Sage ERP X3 v6 contains hundreds of enhancements and new features, a Web user interface, and a greater choice of technology. The software has been developed and can be deployed on a wide range of technology platforms and databases. Sage has worked with Microsoft, Oracle and Netvibes to develop the software. The company has also expanded a partnership with Logica, a global systems integrator, to better support multi-country Sage ERP X3 projects.
