Sage Software debuted Sage BusinessWorks 50 Accounting 2009, the newest version of its accounting software package for small and midsized businesses.
The 2009 edition includes the ability to set up customer-specific pricing, detailed open credits and deposits tracking, and unlimited line items on quotes, sales orders and purchase orders. The software also includes extra capacity for sales account entries in the accounts receivable and order entry modules.
Other features include check-printing improvements and enhanced data exchange procedures that allow users to export customer, vendor, part, and employee data in a format that can be shared with third-party applications. Enhanced hyperlink capabilities can be used to generate e-mail messages to customers and vendors from frequently used tasks. The software also provides improved Microsoft Windows Vista compatibility, with Windows Aero Glass support and an updated HTML help system.
