Sage Launches New Edition of Sage Pro ERP

Sage Software announced the launch of Sage Pro ERP 7.4, the latest version of the company’s business management solution for small and midsized businesses.

The version includes several new features, such as an executive dashboard, a new desktop interface and two new modules -- Return Merchandise Authorization and Request For Quote -- as well as several improvements on the software’s manufacturing-specific modules.

A new document routing feature in the 200 edition of Sage Pro ERP 7.4 allows companies to assign and control individual access levels to various data. The new RMA module allows distributors and wholesalers to streamline their returns management, by customizing the software to enforce return policies that are unique to a company’s business -- such as ensuring proper application of policies such as restocking fees and warranties. The new RFQ module offers vendor bid processing, aimed at giving businesses better management over the quote evaluation process.

Changes to the manufacturing modules were focused on streamlining work-order functions for faster processing and creating an easier and more complete tool for purchase order bids. Sage has also included a number of features in its inventory control module to take advantage of radio frequency identification technology, such as Store RFID -- the ability to read both numeric and alpha-numeric bar codes and the importation of that data into the Inventory Control, Accounts Receivable and Sales Order modules after scanning.

Available in two editions, Sage Pro ERP 7.4 pricing starts at $995 per module, or $1,095 per user for Sage Pro 100 ERP; and at $1,995 per module, or $1,095 per user, for Sage Pro 200 ERP.
