Financial and accounting software publisher Sage Software has released its BusinessWorks 50 Accounting Version 6.0 - an upgrade that features a number of enhancements, including integration with Sage's ACT! Module.New features offered by Version 6.0 include the ability to create purchase orders from a sales order, which streamlines purchasing to hone order accuracy and inventory control; a drop ship feature enabling users to better track drop ship orders; and expanded transaction description fields, providing greater line-item descriptions on purchase orders, quotes, orders and invoices, with a new 1,000-character description field.

The updated Sage BusinessWorks ACT! link integrates with accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry, inventory control and purchasing modules, creating an integrated front-and-back-office solution.

Sage said that BusinessWorks 6.0 contains improvements to general ledger reporting, and to user query and reporting, such as quick search views, and inquiry balance drill-down from both accounts receivable and accounts payable inquiry screens, as well as a cash balance inquiry.

Version 6.0 also allows users one-click access to the Sage Software Information Center, a site that includes recent company news, product alerts, and training and support notices.
