Sage Releases Inventory Advisor for ERP Line

Sage North America has released Sage Inventory Advisor, a cloud offering that integrates with Sage ERP systems to provide users – primarily distributors and retailers -- with a daily diagnostic of inventory.

Designed to work on any Web browser or mobile device, Sage Inventory Advisor is currently available for those businesses running Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP, Sage 500 ERP and Sage ERP X3.

The product is also designed to analyze inventory data to identify where the biggest improvements can be made; produce quality forecasts; suggest optimal replenishment; and provide a “what if" graphical user interface.

“In speaking to our customers [prior to the product’s creation], one thing I’d ask was their largest concerns was not getting enough product to sell when opportunities come and their customers would go to someone else,” said Sage senior product manager Fady Abourjeily. “They also need the money they have in their excess inventory to use for other purposes. And if they were in inventory management or in supply chain management, and they needed something more automated. If you manage your inventory you will regain customers, grow your revenue and increase profitability and that is what this product is about.”

Other key features and functions of Sage Inventory Advisor include a dashboard view; vi

visibility to critical inventory KPIs and financials; a list of top items requiring immediate attention; inventory monitoring; early warning of stock-outs, potential stock-outs or surplus orders; optimal replenishment recommendations; ordering scheduling; and the ability to amend orders and send them back to the ERP system for processing.

Sage channel partners will also be able to sell Sage Inventory Advisor for a $299 subscription.
