Sage Reveals New Software Products, Upgrades

Numerous upgrades and products were announced at Insights 2006, Sage Software's annual partner conference. Accounting and operations management, customer relationship management, human resources and payroll services are some of the areas in which new products and upgrades will be released by this fall.

"Small and midsized businesses have different needs throughout their growth cycle, so they rely on their business solutions partners to provide software and services that map to their growth requirements," said chief executive Ron Verni, in a statement. "Our focus on the needs of small and midsized businesses for the past 30 years has helped us to provide the end-to-end solutions they require to manage effectively for today and throughout their growth."

Some of the new products Sage is rolling out include Peachtree Quantum, an accounting software package holding up to 10 users that is shipping in June; Sage Abra eRecruiter, an online recruiting add-on solution for their human resources management solution Abra that will be launched later this May; and the Sage Migrator, a data migration application for customers looking to change their CRM application from outside offerings to a Sage CRM product or from a lower-end Sage product like Act! to a higher-end CRM solution like CRM.com. CRM Migrator is already available.

Available in September 2006 will be version 8.0 of Sage MIP Fund Accounting, software for nonprofits; version 5.5. of Sage PFW, a financial, distribution and process manufacturing application ; and version 4.2 of Sage MAS 90, a back-office accounting system, version 4.2.
