Sage Software introduced a program to support users of its Peachtree by Sage software with extra support for Microsoft Excel.
The company's Freedom Support Extra program provides support and training to small businesses, including tips on increasing productivity by taking advantage of both applications. The program also provides downloadable and customizable business templates for reports, and around-the-clock training and support by phone, e-mail or online for both Peachtree and Excel.
The program is intended to help customers increase the available reporting and analysis features by combining both applications. Sage's research shows that more than half the companies using Peachtree supplement it with Excel for tasks such as financial analysis, financial data presentation and forecasting.
Freedom Support Extra costs $299 for a single-user plan and $349 for a multi-user plan for new and existing Peachtree customers for one year. For Sage Software Accountants' Network members, the first eight months are free.
