Sage VAR Launches Branded Mobile App for Sage 100

Top Sage North America partner Blytheco plans to roll out bly:Mobile for Sage 100, a branded version of its mobile app that will allow access to components of the enterprise resource planning software from any mobile device.

The new product, which is to be officially unveiled at the upcoming Sage Summit partner and user meeting in Nashville, offers the ability to access Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90/200) remotely, from any Web-friendly device. It allows the Sage 100 user to forego the expense and hassle of setting up terminal services to enable remote access, and does not require the user to download special apps to their PC or smart device to use. Moreover, it works with a computer as well as any current smartphone platform.

“ERP has been slower to come into a mobility mode, so I feel we are ahead of the game in that regard,” said Blytheco founder and chief executive Stephen Blythe. “The product is designed around C-level personnel who want a thumbnail view on how a business is running. They can also see key operational inventory turns and other areas for operational people; whatever they need to look at on the fly.”

The firm has been seeing increased demand for more mobility, and its development division BlythecoDev designed bly:Mobile, which was rolled out last July.

Sage is also planning its own product announcements around mobility at Sage Summit, which runs through the week of August 12 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville.
