SAP announced Wednesday new offerings for its SAP HANA cloud platform that include simplified pricing, deployment and accessibility options.

Customers can now choose from the three offerings: SAP HANA AppServices, SAP HANA DBServices and SAP HANA Infrastructure Services.

“Today, we are simplifying access and expanding the market reach for SAP’s breakthrough SAP HANA platform,” stated Dr. Vishal Sikka, member of the executive board of SAP AG, products and innovation, during an online press conference broadcast from Palo Alto, Calif. “With these steps, customers and partners can experience the power of SAP HANA and build amazing applications in any way they choose to chart new frontiers in cloud-based software without compromise.”

The new pricing options are intended to expand the reach of the SAP HANA platform, making it accessible at a base price with add-on options available. Buying through a consumption model, customers can either implement end-to-end platform use cases or choose additional options, including predictive analytics, spatial processing and planning.

SAP also announced the ability for startups, independent software vendors and customers to build new data-driven applications in the cloud through the platform-as-a-service. The PaaS includes memory-centric infrastructure and database and application services to build, extend, deploy and run applications, and is available via SAP HANA marketplace,

The marketplace is an online store that allows customers to learn, try and buy SAP HANA-powered applications.

Additionally, SAP announced that the company and its team of technology partners, including BMMsoft, HP, Intel, NetApp and Red Hat, had generated a new world record for the world’s largest data warehouse using the SAP HANA platform and SAP IQ software. Four times larger than the prior record, the independently audited 12.1 1PB data warehouse has been recognized by Guinness World Records.
